Bonus Activities

In addition to offering papers, panels, posters, and exhibits (to name just a few of the conference's features), the SIGCSE symposium serves as a convenient gathering place for closely related groups and their activities. We are happy to highlight these groups and activities.

Please note that this page is by no means an exhaustive list of daily conference goings-on. We urge you to consult the conference program as well as other entries under the "Attendees" menu.

Finally, as with most pages on our site, this one should be considered to be "Under Construction." Please check back periodically to look for new activities!

Thursday Activities

  • First Timers' Lunch and A Dozen Years of SIGCSE Pioneers

    Time: Noon - 1:45 p.m.     Place: Exhibit Hall D

SIGCSE exists to help computer science educators be more effective teachers. A large part of this support comes from connections made at the symposium. To help first-time SIGCSE attendees start to make connections, we offer this free lunch. To reserve your place, indicate your status as a first-time attendee when you register for the symposium.

In addition, SIGCSE is proud to acknowledge the contributions of our longest-serving members. In honor of SIGCSE's 40 years, we have invited SIGCSE members who joined ACM or SIGCSE prior to 1982 to attend this luncheon. The list of SIGCSE pioneers is available here.
