Software Distribution

Version 2.0 of the Scout operating system is available at scout.tar.gz (20.1MB compressed, 71.2MB uncompressed). This version includes a version of Joust which is compatible with the final Toba 1.0 release. It also features a simplified installation and build procedure for the Intel Pentium platform.

Network Appliances

The distribution includes the modules and configuration files needed to build the following network appliances: The configuration files needed to build these appliances can be found in directory sys/templates/appliances of the distribution. The Joust configuration depends on a Java bytecode compiler distributed as part of the Sumatra project. Sumatra currently supports Java 1.0.2.
