General Meeting
October 28, 2000

Meeting opened at 1:10 p.m.

ATTENDANCE

Matt Johnson, Andy Lenards, Teena Werley, Eve Tzinas, Jason Buchanan, Ben Ratzlaff, Matt DeElena, Jennifer Sartor, Douglas Rudd, Brian Shucker, Bethany Pauter. Stuart Reges

Due to the relatively low turnout for this meeting, Teena will send e-mail to all those on the list to see if a better time can be worked out.

BOWLING

November 18th either after the meeting or that night to do "cosmic bowling".

RSVP Eve by November 13th to get an estimate for a group rate.

GUEST SPEAKER FROM INDUSTRY

A reasonable goal is to have at least one speaker per semester.

Because of GS701 room availability, November 7th has been tenatively scheduled for a speaker.

Stuart will contact Jignesh Joshi (Ephibian), Shelly Devere (Rincon), Erin Feeney, and other recent graduates in the area as possible speakers. We ideally would like 2 speakers for the Novemer 7th event.

FUNDING FROM GOOGLE

Google search engine has an affiliate program where if we put their search textbox on our pages, we get 1 cent per search. Stuart will check with the departement to see if we can put one of these search textboxes on the main CS page.

FUNDING BY RENTING LOCKERS

Where? Possible locations would be near the GS228 lab, in the lab itself, or on the 7th floor near the bathrooms

Purchasing the lockers would have to go through UA distributers

How much? Catalogs list the price at $250 to $300 depending on size and style.

PRE-COMPUTER SCIENCE / COMPUTER SCIENCE ACTIVITIES AND INVOLVEMENT/

Game of Assasin

In order facilitate interaction between the Pre-computer Science and Computer Science students, a game of assassin was proposed by Stuart
