ACM Officers Meeting September 27, 2006

We met in Room 919 because 906 is being used, but we have room 906 for the rest of the semester.

Advertising the October 4 presentation

We need to get information from Jeremy Plichta on his 
Flash presentation.  Need to make a flyer and post it.  
Lecture/tutorial approx. 1 hr.  

We have no budget for food, McGill offers to bring something appropriate for
approx. 20 attendees, donation out of pocket.



Status of local programming competition

Proposed:  We sponsor local contest.  ACM cannot afford to sponsor ECE majors.  

If we need to pay for regional competition, it is the biggest item driving our budget.
Discussed various options, including UA motorpool costs.  



Funding ACM

Proposed:  Coordinate funding between ACM and WICS.


Listserv setup

Still TODO, acm mail alias.  


IBM Mainframe competition

We decided it is already too late to consider the IBM Mainframe competition.  
Plan ahead for it next time?
