CSC 120 (Fall 2017): Grading Scale and Policies

Grades will be computed using the following weighting for the graded components of the class:

40%		weekly programming assignments
5%		weekly section participation
30%		Midterms (2 x 15% for each of the Midterms)
25%		Final Exam

The weighted scores computed using this scheme will translate to letter grades as follows:

Weighted score		Minimum grade
90% and above:		A
80% and above, but below 90%:		B
65% and above, but below 80%:		C
55% and above, but below 65%:		D
Below 55%:		E

Requests for incomplete (I) or withdrawal (W) must be made in accordance with University policies, which are available at http://catalog.arizona.edu/policy/grades-and-grading-system#incomplete and http://catalog.arizona.edu/policy/grades-and-grading-system#Withdrawal respectively.

Dispute of Grade Policy
All regrade requests for programming projects must be made within two weeks of when the grade is returned. All regrade requests for tests must be made within one week of when the graded test is returned.
