This directory contains Icon for VMS - Version 9.0:

     vms.bck       Icon for VAX/VMS; VMS BACKUP, blocksize 8192.

     vmsfix.com    Script to fix BACKUP files transferred via FTP.

Get the file vmsfix.com in ascii mode and vms.bck in binary mode.
Move them to the directory where you want the Icon subdirectory; this
subdirectory, V9, will be created when the files are extracted by running
backup.  Follow the steps listed below to install the Icon distribution.
Once the distribution has been installed, see the DOCS directory for
configuration and installation guides.

   $ @vmsfix                        -- fix the BACKUP file
   $ purge vms.bck                  -- get rid of old copy
   $ backup vms.bck/save_set [...]  -- get files from BACKUP
   $ delete vms.bck;                -- delete BACKUP file
