Talk to Peter Dance or Gary Wong about this. There's an
extension in the MacX folder that you need to install
(drop it on your system folder). Have you tried this?
You should be running MacX from your own disk. Don't
run it off the server.

No, there is no requirement that you must test your
output files with MacX/disp. But *we* will! So, if
your program produces incorrect output (that you
didn't detect because you didn't try it out with
disp), then you will have points taken off.

No, you're not thick. It's the Mac/X/Unix setups
here that leave something to be desired.
