Computer Science ID (CSID)

Faculty and Staff generation of CSID numbers

There are three local utilities available for Faculty and TA's to generate or view the Computer Science ID (CSID); cs_request, csid, and the web-based, http://www.cs.arizona.edu/computing/services. The most commonly used, cs_request, is found on lectura.

A help section appears if the utility is run with no options:

/usr/local/bin/cs_request

The cs_request utility accesses a Computer Science Department internal database that is generated from class registration information. The cs_request utility generates a list of all students (full name and CS username) in a particular Computer Science class. There is an option to display the last 6-digits of each student's CSID.

Students can get their CSID from:

http://www.cs.arizona.edu/computing/services.
