Search for a
Creative Commons (CC) image, suggested sources:
Flickr
- Enter a search term. Best results view is "Detailed" so you
can see license information.
- Use Flickr's advanced
search to find images licensed for Creative
Commons. Be sure to click the box at the bottom: "Only search within
Creative Commons-licensed content" and click "Search" again.
- Select an image from the results.
- Under Actions, choose "View All Sizes".
- Select Medium.
- Click "Download Medium size", this saves to your computer.
Give it a name and remember where you save it.
- Upload the saved image to the problem you're creating in
Teach
Ourselves. Include the CC license and attribution when you upload the
file to your problem. May require some clicks (username > Profile
> copy & paste name). If no name given, use Flickr name.
Wikimedia
- Use Wikimedia Commons to search for images licensed for
Creative
Commons. Enter search terms that relate to your problem.
- Select the image from the results.
- Select Download and choose the pixel size. This opens the
image in a new window.
- Right click or select and choose "Save Image As". This will
save
to your
computer. Give it a name and remember where you save it.
- From the Teach Ourselves application, browse for this saved
image
and upload. Include the CC license and attribution when you upload the
file to your problem.
- Be sure to copy and paste information from the Download
popup.
