I started my professional career helping to implement 3D plots for engineering applications. After a change in development staff, I was soon entrusted with the maintenance and new development of two world-class applications. When given the requirement to use unmanaged libraries for a new licensing scheme, I picked up a C++/CLI book and wrote a managed wrapper for its native API and classes. I also became proficient in ping-pong after a table was installed in the office.
