Unit Package Editor

The Unit Package Editor (UPE) will allow educators to compile high quality lesson units from existing resources in the site database or resources collected from the web (for Firefox users, see details about toolbar below). Educators will be able to set permission rights on the lesson units they create, easily sharing them with their students or colleagues. Unit packages will be available for remixing for different grade levels, extension and/or modification by other users, or adaptation into another language. Our hope is that the our site's database collection of free unit packages created with the UPE and published with Creative Commons, Open-Ed licenses will enhance a teacher's instruction, motivate an independent learner, or possibly offer quality education to a student who has no access to schooling but does have access to a portable-internet device.

UPE Toolbar

The toolbar, which will be available as a Firefox browser extension or add-on, will allow users to easily bookmark and collect resources as they surf the web.
