Noah Snavely Building 3-D Models from Photos

Former student Noah Snavely is participating in a project at the University of Washington that creates three-dimensional models from collections of photographs. The project was presented at the 2006 SIGGRAPH conference in Boston and has received much press coverage.
Snavely graduated summa cum laude from the University of Arizona in 2003 with a double major: Bachelor's of Science in Mathematics and in Computer Science. In his senior year he was selected as Outstanding Senior by the Computer Science department and as Outstanding Undergraduate Researcher by the College of Science.
